Airbag Minimum Standard

SPEED CONTROL

The Airbag user must be able to control their speed and line whilst descending the slope in such a way as not to endanger themselves or others using the slope. Users must be able to make a quick decision and stop at any point when required.

LINKED TURNS

The Airbag user must be able to link a series of turns together whilst descending the slope. They should also be able to vary the radius of turns in accordance to the amount of space they are given and be able to use their turns to control their speed and to stop if required.

GUIDELINE

As a general rule, you should be able to safely and consistently straight air the kicker on our alpine slope and have a smooth in and out run from this feature.

PARK RULES AND GUIDELINES AND SLOPE SAFETY RULES

It is highly recommended you have a good knowledge of our park rules and guidelines and the 10 safety points before considering use of the Airbag.

ABILITY TO USE UPLIFT

The uplift that is in operation at Aberdeen Snowsports centre is widely used in the mountains, all over the world and at many other dry and indoor slopes.

This session is supervised by ASC staff members and all users must adhere to their instructions, or risk being asked to leave with no refund.

 

Any users found to be acting in an unsafe manner which may result in themselves or other users being injured will be asked to leave with no refund offered.
