MINIMUM STANDARD REQUIRED FOR SLOPE USE
SPEED CONTROL
The recreational slope user must be able to control their descent of the slope in such a way as not to endanger themselves or others and to be able to stop at any point when required.
LINKED TURNS
The recreational slope user must be able to link a series of turns together whilst descending the slope. They should also be able to vary the radius of turns in accordance to the amount of space they are given and be able to use their turns to control their speed and to stop if required.
ABILITY TO USE UPLIFT
The uplift that is in operation at Aberdeen Snowsports Centre is widely used in the mountains all over the world and at many dry and indoor slopes. The two types in operation are:
POMA LIFT
BRITON BUTTON LIFT
We will assume slope users who are unable to use such uplifts are also unable to meet the previous 2 requirements and therefore seen as not up to standard for recreational slope use.
Anyone who goes on the slopes and is not up to standard will be asked to leave the slope without a refund and will be recommended to have a lesson.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR CO-OPERATION. HAVE A GOOD TIME!
